The Client
uPatika.hu specializes in distributing premium Uriage and Apivita cosmetics. Uriage is an innovative French brand that has been at the forefront of dermatological research for over 20 years and was introduced to the Hungarian market in 2013, quickly gaining popularity. Apivita, launched in Hungary in the summer of 2018, offers natural, premium cosmetics containing 85-100% natural ingredients. Founded in 1972 by a Greek pharmacist couple, Apivita has achieved global success among those who favor natural cosmetics.
The Task
The owner of uPatika.hu approached us for a rebranding and level-up to elevate their services and strengthen their market position through the redesign of their webshop. The rebranding required a complete overhaul of the visual identity, and the new site needed to seamlessly integrate with the Novodata pharmacy management system.
Our Solution
Through extensive research and analysis, we identified the bottlenecks causing customer drop-off. We redesigned the webshop to enhance the user experience, which in turn increased user engagement and trust. One key feature of the webshop is a specialized search tool that helps users find products based on skin type or specific skin problems.
Along with integrating the central pharmacy software (Novodata), the challenge lay in automating the management of complex promotions, which we successfully addressed. Since the first version was launched, we’ve refined the structure and functionality based on feedback and customer reviews. The latest major update was made to accommodate the Apivita brand on the website.
Results
The redesign and improvements led to dynamic growth in sales and the webshop’s performance. Within its first year, uPatika became Hungary’s top seller of Uriage products and has continued to grow steadily since.
