Personalized Chocolate and Postcard: The Launch of a New Brand

The Client

Choco Card is an innovative brand that combines Belgian chocolate with postcards. Through the online store, anyone can create their own chocolate with a personalized postcard and packaging. The chocolate can be sent as a gift, complete with a personal message, or customers can choose from pre-made creations.

The Task

Our task was to introduce the Choco Card brand into the saturated chocolate market by creating a unique identity that would set the new entrant apart from its competitors. The goal was to combine the box and postcard to create not just a product, but an entirely new gifting experience.

Our Solution

We created a unique, fresh style and visual identity for Choco Card. The packaging’s special feature is the custom-designed lid that allows a postcard to be inserted, delivering a personal message alongside the chocolate. We designed the brand’s visual identity, marketing materials, multiple packaging options, and a wide range of postcards. The design was so successful that Choco Card's packaging won first place in the 2012 Creative Group Pakk packaging design competition in the food category and was featured in the Best Practices for Graphic Designers, Packaging book in 2013.
